Ursula Notter-Cathomen wurde 1941 in Zürich geboren, wo sie die Kindheit und Jugendzeit verbrachte.19-jährig flog sie zu ihrem ersten grösseren Auslandsaufenthalt nach New York um ihr Englisch zu vervollkommnen. Nach ihrer Heirat 1963 flog sie mit ihrem Ehemann nach Tokio, wo sie sieben Jahre verbrachten. Nach der Geburt ihrer Tochter fuhren sie mit dem Linienschiff nach Europa und kehrten in die Schweiz zurück. Hier lebte sie als Hausfrau, Sportlerin und Managerin ihrer Tochter, die damals mit neun Jahren als jüngste Alphornbläserin grosse Erfolge feiern konnte. 2003 wanderte sie mit ihrem zweiten Mann nach Thailand aus und baute zusammen mit ihm ein schönes Haus mit grossem Garten, Pool und Meersicht. Insgesamt hat sie 36 Länder bereist. Sie lebt heute noch in Koh Samui.
