Entre l�neas invita a la relectura de la historia, la arquitectura y la modernidad a trav�s del aporte de las arquitectas en Chile desde su entrada a la universidad en los a�os veinte (los hombres lo hicieron en 1849). Inspira la capacidad de las j�venes editoras para construir 'mancomunidad' con un extenso colectivo de personas e instituciones. Desde la epistemolog�a feminista que marca la investigaci�n, ning�n conocimiento se desliga de quien lo estudia. Es en este tipo de iniciativas que reconozco c�mo la universidad se deja interpelar por nosotras: estudiantes, profesoras y directoras o decanas 'reci�n llegadas' hace m�s de un siglo. Tambi�n me anima ver c�mo cada vez m�s hombres y organizaciones se suman a este camino de construcci�n de memoria con sentido de futuro. Entre l�neas cuestiona la supuesta neutralidad de las disciplinas y el universal del 'genio creador': hombre en solitario, procedente de pa�ses desarrollados. Este libro habla sobre mujeres que irrumpieron en el panorama arquitect�nico de Chile, pero permanecieron invisibles hasta tiempos muy recientes, muchas de ellas hasta esta investigaci�n. Destaca c�mo las arquitectas se vincularon de manera singular con el tiempo (la sociedad, las instituciones y familias) en que les toc� vivir. Sin duda, no es la igualdad de experiencias, sino de derechos, lo que buscamos. Ese eje primordial de la CEPAL se refiere a la plena titularidad de los derechos humanos como horizonte normativo y pr�ctico para todas las personas, sin distinci�n, y a su inclusi�n en la din�mica del desarrollo de la sociedad. Por eso, esta publicaci�n aporta a la historiograf�a de la arquitectura moderna, cuyo tiempo corresponde en la regi�n, y en Chile, con una modernidad inconclusa reflejada en sociedades estructuralmente desiguales. Entre l�neas produce una onda que requiere llegar a m�s colectivos acad�micos y sociales para construir una trama: redes de Iberoam�rica que transformen el paisaje, la ciudad, las viviendas, la docencia, la investigaci�n, la universidad y la sociedad para que cada persona pueda crecer en un mundo m�s sostenible e igualitario.
