Zwischenprüfungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: 1,9, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gie en, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Als 1995 die Entstehung von Kants Friedensschrift "Zum ewigen Frieden" ihr 200-jähriges Jubiläum hatte, war dies nicht unbedingt Anlass zum Feiern, wohl aber war das Jubiläum ein Startschuss für zahlreiche neue Kant-Interpretationen. In die Schar der Interpreten reihte sich auch Otfried Höffe als Herausgeber der Aufsatzsammlung "Zum ewigen Frieden ein". Als Ergebnis seiner Studien hatte Kant seinerzeit die Schaffung eines Völkerbundes vorgeschlagen. Schon Kant sah die Weltrepublik als Möglichkeit, aus dem zwischenstaatlichen "gesetzlosen Zustande, der den Krieg enthält, herauszukommen". Im Gegensatz zu Höffe räumt Kant dem Weltstaat keine Chance zur realen Verwirklichung ein, sondern begnügt sich mit dem "negative(n) Surrogat eines den Krieg abwehrenden, bestehenden und sich immer ausbreitenden Bundes", dem Völkerbund. Mit "Globalisierung im Zeitalter der Demokratie" legte Höffe 1999 seine detaillierte Vision einer komplementären Weltrepublik vor. Höffe schlägt darin einen Ausweg aus dem Hobbesschen Naturzustand vor, der in den zwischenstaatlichen Beziehungen mit Abstrichen noch immer herrscht. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht das Werk in seiner politikwissenschaftlichen Lesart unter der allgemeinen Fragestellung: Wie sieht diese Weltrepublik aus bzw. wie ist ihr institutioneller Aufbau? Die zahlreichen Antworten auf Höffes Konzeption sollen in dieser Arbeit nicht unerwähnt bleiben und finden an den jeweils passenden Stellen ihren Niederschlag. Konkret wird das politische System Weltrepublik vorgestellt, sowie die Welt-Rechtsprechung mit ihren Instrumenten und Institutionen, wobei auch die schwierige Frage der Sezession behandelt wird. Schlie lich geht es um globale Wirtschaftspolitik und Umweltschutz.
