In der vorliegenden Arbeit von Wtist werden die Ergebnisse so1cher Untersuchungen bei der Anwen- dung der Epiduralanasthesie mit Sedierung, der Halothankombina- tionsnarkose und der NLA vorgestellt. Sie erOffnen neue Perspekti- ven flir den klinischen Einsatz der Epiduralanasthesie. Der zweite Beitrag von Schulte-Steinberg befa t sich mit der Ausbreitung von Lokalanasthetika im kindlichen Epidural- raum bei kaudaler Injektion. Anhand von Korrelationsberechnun- gen lie sich ein Dosierungsschema ermitteln, das die praktische Anwendung dieses speziellen Epiduralverfahrens im Kindesalter erleichtert.
