Dipl.-Ing. Christian Demant studierte Technische Kybernetik an der Universität Stuttgart. Nach zwei Jahren als Softwareentwickler bei der Robert Bosch GmbH im Entwicklungszentrum Schwieberdingen gründete er zusammen mit einem ehemaligen Kollegen 1993 ein Unternehmen im Bereich der industriellen Automatisierungstechnik. Zusätzlich zu seiner Tätigkeit innerhalb der Geschäftsführung war er dort als Leiter der Softwareentwicklung verantwortlich für eine international erfolgreiche PC Software, von der bis 2013 über 10.000 Lizenzen weltweit abgesetzt werden konnten. Im Jahr 2000 beteiligte er sich an der Gründung eines Tech Startups in Oxfordshire/UK und begleitet die Entwicklung dieses Unternehmens als Aufsichtsrat bis heute.
Er hat sich u. a. durch zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen und durch seine langjährige Mitarbeit im Vorstand der VDMA-Fachabteilung "Industrielle Bildverarbeitung" europaweit einen Namen gemacht. 2013 schied er aus persönlichen Gründen aus seinem ersten Unternehmensprojekt aus, um sich mit seinem Fachwissen und seiner langjährigen Erfahrung in der professionellen Entwicklung von Software neuen Herausforderungen im Bereich der digitalen Transformation zu stellen. Er widmet sich seitdem als Consultant und Gutachter schwerpunktmäßig der Analyse und Bewertung von Software und Softwareentwicklung im Rahmen von M&A-Prozessen.
