Oder werden sozialpolitische Entscheidungen über die Ausgestaltung sozialer Sicherungssysteme umgekehrt von den verbreiteten Moralvorstellungen beeinflusst? Die Überprüfung dieser Wechselwirkungen zwischen Akzeptanz und Sozialpolitik ist Gegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit. Im Fokus steht dabei die Untersuchung von Akzeptanzproblemen und Akzeptanzunterschieden mittels sozioökonomischer Erklärungsansätze. Zunächst dient die Akzeptabilitätstheorie nach ULLRICH zur Erklärung unterschiedlicher Akzeptanzgrade sozialer Sicherungssysteme in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Mit Hilfe verschiedener Akzeptabilitätsthesen versucht er Unterschiede in der Akzeptanz von Sicherungssystemen aus soziologischer Perspektive zu begründen, stö t dabei jedoch an Grenzen, die im Rahmen der Arbeit aufgezeigt werden. Im nächsten Schritt werden sozioökonomische Erklärungsansätze hergeleitet, wobei zunächst die zentralen Eigenschaften des sozialen Sicherungssystems in Deutschland beschrieben werden. Im Anschluss erfolgt die Darstellung eines neuen Verhältnisses von Sozialstaat und Markt und wie dieses die Moralvorstellungen und die Akzeptanz der Adressaten sozialer Sicherungssysteme beeinflusst. Danach soll eine Übersicht ausgewählter mikroökonomischer Theorien Erklärungsansätze zum menschlichen Verhalten in einer Solidargemeinschaft wie dem Sozialstaat liefern und anhand eines aktuellen Beispiels konkretisiert werden. In einer abschlie enden Betrachtung werden die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse schlie lich zusammengefasst und vor dem Hintergrund eines nach grö tmöglicher Akzeptanz strebenden Wohlfahrtsstaates interpretiert.
