Einleitung Das formulierte Thema legt die Erzähltextanalyse1 der beiden Werke nahe. Diese Analyse wird werkweise in Kapitel II durchgeführt. Zwei Aspekte werden noch hinzugezogen, um der Themenstellung wie den Besonderheiten der Gattung Science Fiction gerecht werden zu können. Zum einen geht es um die Probabilität, die in Kapitel III als ""innere subjektive Glaubwürdigkeit eines Textes""2 bestimmt wird, um dann werkweise zu betrachten, wie probabel der Autor dem Leser den science fictionalen ""Als-ob- Kosmos""3 vermitteln kann. Der dritte Aspekt durchzieht die gesamte Arbeit. Gemeint ist die Anthropozentrik, die den Menschen (Griech.: anthropos) in den Mittelpunkt (Lat.: centrum) stellt. Mit Protagoras' "Homomensura-Satz" ""Der Mensch ist das Ma aller Dinge...""4 lässt sich prägnant die hinter dem Anthropozentrismus stehende Haltung beschreiben, nämlich dass sich der Mensch im ontologischen wie erkenntnistheoretischen Sinne5 ma gebend für die Welt und den Kosmos hält. Die Abhängigkeit der Fremdheitserfahrung von der kulturbedingten Wahrnehmungsweise6 erklärt die der Anthropozentrik eingeräumte Bedeutungstiefe. Dies ist erfahrungsgemä die weitverbreitete, ja übliche Perspektive von Science Fiction - Produktionen . Im Hinblick auf Letztgenanntes stechen Darltons "Planet der Mock" und Lems "Der Unbesiegbare" aus dem Gros des Genres hervor, da in beiden Werken der Anthropozentrismus in differierendem Ma e kritisch zur Sprache kommt. Allein deshalb kann diese Arbeit nicht den Anspruch erheben, beispielhaft für das Genre zu untersuchen, wie kulturelle Fremdheitserfahrung erzählerisch umgesetzt wird.
