Se deber a ofrecer no s lo una descripci n del andaluz como medio de comunicaci n y como modalidad ling stica del espa ol sino tambi n una descripci n de la forma de ser y de pensar, es decir la realidad ling stica y su identidad cultural, que a trav s del lenguaje el pueblo andaluz manifiesta. Muchos autores aluden, por ejemplo, al conformismo de la identidad andaluza, a su car cter de "tierra vieja y sabia, s ntesis de culturas" (Lam quiz 1985, 30) o al t pico de la Andaluc a gitana y flamenca, llena de gracia y de ingenio, a su expresividad y barroquismo, y naturalmente a su milenaria pereza, producto del clima, o a su tendencia a la hip rbole y exageraci n. Mi intenci n es describir en este trabajo, sin pretensi n a la clarificaci n exhaustiva, el camino del desarrollo de las hablas andaluzas, demostrar de que viene y por que fue influida la identidad ling stica andaluza. ...] 2. La identidad ling stica andaluza El espa ol hablado en Andaluc a posee determinadas peculiaridades respecto al espa ol del resto de Espa a. La presencia rabe en esta regi n duro m s de setecientos ochenta a os, con lo que las peculiaridades del andaluz podr an deberse al influjo del rabe, tan presente en la identidad cultural andaluza. Por ejemplo la presencia masiva en andaluz de una pronunciaci n aspirada, que afecta tanto a la propia consonante h derivada de una antigua f-inicial latina, como a las consonantes j y g, como a la consonante -s final de silaba o palabra, hacen pensar en cierta semejanza con las consonantes velares y far ngeas del rabe. Pero ning n rasgo de la pronunciaci n andaluza se puede derivar de alguna caracter stica de la lengua rabe, sino que se pueden explicar
