This is the fifth volume in my 'ABC of Life' series, with my wide-ranging, free-wheeling comments on various matters, appearing in social media and certain other publications. However, this volume is different in that (a) all the essays in it are on different aspects of Hinduism, such as religion, philosophy, and way of life, and (b) all but two of them are reprints of my articles published in periodicals and souvenir volumes in Singapore.Topics covered range from Advaitha (non-duality, affirming the identity of the Supreme soul and the individual soul) through significance of festivals and rituals to practical life guidance as by selfless service.

Prof Krishna, as the author Dr. N. Krishnamurthy is known to his students, colleagues, and well-wishers as Prof Krishna has six decades of practical experience in teaching, research, and consulting on civil engineering, computer applications and workplace safety and risk management in India, USA, and Singapore. He has published 5 books, co-authored 3 more, and has to his credit over a hundred technical papers in his fields of specialty. In his 'ABC of Life' series Prof Krishna shares his experiences and thoughts on his diverse interests beyond the technical, such as writing and speaking on ethics, culture and philosophy. He has developed and disseminated certain motivational strategies and decision-making schema, which come through in his talks and lectures. This book on the Hindu Way of Life reflects his long, broad and deep involvement in the precepts and practise of Hinduism in daily life. His knowledge and insight into this vast and complex subject comes from his growth and training in a family of religious practioners and spiritual scholars, augmented by his own intensive study and pursuit of self-realisation. Over the years, he has lectured and written on various aspects of Hinduism to different types of audiences, partly from his role as a trainer for teachers of Hinduism in Singapore.
