Das Supply Chain Management betrachtet dabei Güterströme, logistische und akquisitorische Informationen, Finanzmittel und Rechte über die gesamte Wert-schöpfungskette. Mit der Umsetzung des Supply Chain Managements hat sich das Supply Chain Controlling entwickelt, da es immer wichtiger wurde, in der Führung und Steuerung von unternehmensübergreifenden Wertschöpfungsket-ten eine Unterstützung mit Hilfe von verschiedenen Instrumenten zu bieten. Diese Entwicklung und die Etablierung des Supply Chain Managements bzw. Supply Chain Controllings ist in verschiedenen Branchen unterschiedlich verlau-fen. Daher soll in dieser Arbeit das Supply Chain Controlling in der Automobil- und Pharmaindustrie näher untersucht werden. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Automobil- und Pharmaindustrie im Hinblick auf das Supply Chain Controlling und dessen Instrumente zu untersuchen. Insbesondere sollen dabei die Besonderheiten der jeweiligen Supply Chains herausgestellt werden und spezifische Instrumente des Supply Chain Controllings auf ihre Eig-nung und den aktuellen Umsetzungsstand in den beiden Branchen beurteilt wer-den.
