Exploring the Synthesis, Ethnopharmacology, and Therapeutic Applications of Bioactive Polyphenols offers a comprehensive examination of one of the most dynamic areas in natural product chemistry and drug discovery. Polyphenols, long recognized for their diverse biological activities, are now at the forefront of research in preventive medicine, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceutical innovation. This book brings together the chemistry, traditional uses, and modern therapeutic perspectives of bioactive polyphenols in a single, well-structured volume.

The aim of this book is to bridge the gap between traditional ethnopharmacological knowledge and cutting-edge synthetic and therapeutic research. By integrating interdisciplinary perspectives, it provides a unique resource for understanding both the molecular intricacies of polyphenols and their real-world applications in treating chronic diseases. What sets this work apart is its balanced approach offering in-depth scientific analysis while also capturing the cultural and historical significance of these bioactive compounds.

Key Features:

  • Detailed coverage of the chemical synthesis and structural diversity of major polyphenols.
  • Comprehensive insights into ethnopharmacological practices involving polyphenol-rich plants across different cultures.
  • Thorough discussion of therapeutic applications, including cardiovascular, neuroprotective, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory potentials.
  • Integration of recent advances in clinical studies and drug formulation strategies.
  • This book includes extended chapters on nanotechnology-based delivery systems and sustainability in polyphenol extraction, and updated case studies highlighting translational research.

This volume is an essential reference for researchers, academicians, and graduate students in pharmaceutical sciences, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and natural product research.
