La fabrication directe par laser et projection de poudre est une technologie en fort d�veloppement. La poudre, inject�e dans le faisceau laser, fond puis se solidifie pour former un d�p�t pr�sentant une excellente adh�rence. Des pi�ces avec des g�om�tries tr�s complexes peuvent ainsi �tre fabriqu�es couche par couche. Pour que ce proc�d� puisse se g�n�raliser, il est n�cessaire de faire des progr�s quant � la ma�trise de la g�om�trie du d�p�t et de la microstructure. Ce livre pr�sente une �tude visant d'une part � analyser la g�om�trie et la microstructure obtenues dans le cas de d�p�ts d'acier 316L sur un substrat bas carbone et d'autre part � simuler le proc�d� de fabrication directe par laser et projection de poudre. Une mod�lisation ph�nom�nologique est propos�e pour la pr�diction de la g�om�trie des d�p�ts � partir des param�tres du proc�d�. Deux approches compl�mentaires (semi-analytique et num�rique) sont explor�es pour la simulation des champs de temp�rature induits. Les observations sur coupes m�tallographiques de la microstructure sont �tudi�es et compar�es aux calculs des gradients de temp�rature et de la vitesse de solidification au niveau du front de solidification.
