Fantasy Football Draft Satisfaction 2010 is about how to prepare for and excel in a fantasy football draft. Readers can learn about the nine opening fantasy football draft strategies: stud RB theory, stud WR theory, one stud RB theory, stockpiling theory, one of each theory, two RB theory, well balanced theory, value only theory, and weak at WR theory. Five reference leagues are examined in order to highlight the subtleties in draft strategies based on variations in fantasy league scoring rules and roster requirements. Generic expected values for QB, RB, WR, TE, DST and K are graphed to illustrate the merits of each position. Competitive draft boards are color coded to show the strengths and weakness of various drafting scripts. The five reference leagues are ESPN standard, WCOFF, NFFC, FFPC, and Humility Forever. Fantasy football team owners who are seeking to maximize the expected fantasy points acquired during the draft will be delighted to see this book's coverage of value calculations and value based drafting methods. Two commonly employed VBD methods are differential from a static baseline and value over next available. A new VBD algorithm named ES-B3 (exhaustive search with three blends) has been invented as part of our research for this book. Testing shows that the ES-B3 algorithm is the best VBD method. Another newly invented VBD algorithm named S-GA uses a genetic algorithm to calculate an optimum static differential baseline. For beginners the fantasy football terminology is organized into logical categories and defined. The NFL players are ranked by position for their expected performance in the 2010 NFL football season. Guidance is provided on how to prepare for a draft day event including practice in mock drafts and making your own player evaluations. A plus and minus methodology for choosing an NFL player among equals is outlined. Extra pointers to resource materials such as books, magazines, and fantasy football websites are also provided.
