Cette fastueuse tempête féconde est une métaphore pour désigner une présence au rythme propice, une narration aux intenses rencontres, des amours parfois décoiffantes ou tourbillonnantes. Ce livre est un rêve ouvrant à l'invention, un voyage traversant un paysage toujours à explorer: la poétique. Il est constitué de cent-dix-neuf sonnets, mais il peut se lire aussi comme un puzzle de roman. Il est organisé en sept chapitres: 1.Heptamètres désinvoltes. 2.Le ciel est lent. 3.Ère éphémère empressée. 4.Échos de théâtre. 5.Poétique. 6.Balai d'Arlequin. 7.Urgences... Chacun de ces chapitres est divisé en dix-sept sonnets. Ces épisodes narrent des fictions ou bien éclairent la réalité. Ils sont une invitation à penser, à réfléchir, à admirer, à s'amuser, à vivre... Cet ouvrage est un roman amoureux, amoureux de l'humaine tendresse créée de paroles autant que d'écritures. C'est un récit facétieux. Il joue des figures du discours comme d'un théâtre de marionnettes, tantôt dramatique, tantôt comique. Le stylo fait le marionnettiste pour oser des pirouettes et des reflets de sens. Monté sur des chiffres premiers (sept et dix-sept), le rythme y est presque toujours heptamétrique (constitué de vers de sept pieds). Quelques décasyllabes (vers de dix pieds) apportent également leur danse familière. Ce livre explore une cadence et quelques contraintes d'écriture fortes. Le chapitre 3 est entièrement constitué de sonnets écrits sur des contraintes de type Ouvroirs de Littérature Potentielle (issus des travaux de l'OuLiPo): monovocalismes, lipogrammes, et quelques autres "machines à écrire". L'écriture poétique y peut devenir jeu, essai de virtuosité. Mais elle sait aussi être ici un simple prisme émotif ou farceur que l'on promène sur le monde pour y photographier d'inattendus reflets.
