Why This Book? Why Now?
The control of the earth's climate, including the temperature of the earth's surface and near earth atmosphere, is a complex, intricate, and beautiful system of interactions between a number of forces. These controlling factors, their interactions, and the rate and extent of those interactions, are all variables which contribute to the control of the earth's climate, including its surface temperature.
I first became aware of the "Theory of Global Warming" in the late 1980's when I first found the document: (Hansen, J.E., and S. Lebedeff, 1987: Global trends of measured surface air temperature. J. Geophys. Res., 92;13345-13372). As a fruit grower during my youth; A professional horticultural researcher who had worked on different methods of frost control in fruit crops, and in basic research in those areas as well as related subjects; I was acutely aware of the greenhouse effect, its causes, and importance in the control of earth's surface temperature. The temperature of plant tissues, under various climatic circumstances has been something that has intrigued me and been a subject of my research for over 50 years.
The small, but significant, increase in the earth's surface temperature, over the last 110 years has been attributed to slight increases in the concentration of carbon dioxide, methane, and other minor greenhouse gasses. The danger to the world's societies, of our present course, the result of attributing all the warming of earth's surface to the greenhouse impact of these minor greenhouse gasses, is real and alarming. If we utilize most of our available resources in limiting or decreasing the concentration of these minor greenhouse gasses, we will not have the resources required to deal with the real impacts of the major forces behind the warming of earth's surface, should they continue or increase. In this work you will be exposed to the truth about the flaws and fails of the global warming/climate change theory. You will read about, and see peer reviewed research that establishes the impacts of:
A. The three forces which have increased the intensity of the sunlight reaching and warming the earth's surface.
B. The role of the LaNina/ElNino cycle and the North Atlantic Oscillation in causing a major portion of the ice volume loss in, and warming of, the Arctic.
C. The role of increasing levels of heat from the earth's core in causing significant ice volume and extent losses, across the Arctic and Antarctic.
D. Changes in the amount of water vapor, liquid and ice in the atmosphere over long periods of time, and this forces contribution to changes in climatic patterns and earth's surface temperature.
You will also be exposed to the climatic impacts of the increasing aerosol concentration in the atmosphere. The above listed causes of changes in the earth's surface temperature have all been mistakenly attributed to the greenhouse effect of the minor greenhouse gasses because of the basic Fatal Fails of the "Global Warming/Climate Change Theory". These Fatal Fails are identified and discussed in this work.
Seeley, Earl J.: - Authors Pertinent Bio-Information: Earl J. Seeley, BA, MS, PhD (Age 79): He was born and grew up in an economically depressed area of Central Utah (USA). He worked his way through college, with the goal of becoming a basic scientific researcher. His BA degree was received from Brigham Young University with a major in Horticulture and a minor in Botany, with substantial chemistry, and soil science course-work. That was followed by a MS degree in Horticultural Mineral Nutrition and Bio-chemistry from Utah State University.Following his MS work he was employed as a USU extension agent, and an environmental consultant for a company building power generating facilities in central Utah for four years. He then returned to USU, finished his PhD and joined the Research and Graduate Faculty at Washington State University in 1975.He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1980. In June of that year he left full-time employment at WSU and joined a private partnership, to develop and manage a large orchard in north-central Washington State. He continued, as an Adjunct Professor at WSU from 1980 to 1986, then as Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University from 1987 to 1999. During the last 38+ years he has been a general manager for several large agricultural enterprises and an agricultural management consultant.Basic research, in both laboratory and field, has been an area of emphasis in his life for over 57 years. Research into the impacts of air pollutants, water stress, heat and cold stress on photosynthesis and cropping patterns, and control or remediation of those effects were central to his work. Additional significant efforts included, irrigation water use efficiency, integrated pest management, and pest control systems and safety.Frost control research, through the use of wind machines, or combinations of wind machines and under-tree micro-irrigation systems, was begun in 1978. His integration of various technologies in these areas has been widely adopted in the tree fruit, nut, and vineyard industries. Central to this effort, has been the need for, and understanding of, the multidimensional nature of the environmental variables involved in the control of earth's surface temperature, on local, regional and global scales. The above enumerated experiences, serve as a unique foundation for the author to address and write on the subjects you will find in this work. It is meant to be read and understood by the lay person. To assist in this, most chapters begin with a simplified "Synopsis". There may be portions of this work that will take some effort to thoroughly understand the principles addressed. If you find yourself in one of those places, continue to read and gain what understanding you can. A second visit to those sections, will undoubtedly increase the depth of your understanding. The first book in this series entitled: "Fatal Flaws; How the Assumptions, Materials and Methods Invalidate the Theory of Global Warming" has been published by Gatekeeper Press and is available in paperback and eBook formats from their associated distributors (Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Nobel and other book sellers). For more on these topics visit:
