Das Recht wurde mir bereits verweigert, als ich den Gerichtssaal betrat. G�tterrichter duldeten keine Rechtfertigung, bei ihnen war ein Vergehen absolut. Nachdem G�tter zu unseren Richtern werden und Schutzengel �ber unser Strafma verf�gen, ist die Welt nicht mehr dieselbe. Cheryl springt f�r ihre Freundin in die Breche und wird an ihrer Stelle von einem jener G�tterrichter verurteilt. Ihr wird der Schutzengel Nithael zur Seite gestellt, der ihre Taten berichtigen und sie f�r neue streng bestrafen soll. Entt�uscht von ihrer Freundin, die sie anscheinend nur ausgenutzt hat und alles von vorneherein plante, um straffrei auszugehen, beginnt Cheryl an sich zu zweifeln. Jedoch �ndert sich das schlagartig, als eine Invasion der G�tter und Todesengel auf der Erde eintrifft, sie verw�stet und die F�hrung �bernimmt. Sie haben alles andere im Sinn, als den Menschen zu helfen, sondern wollen die Menschheit, als ihre eigene Fehlproduktion, ausl�schen. W�hrend Cheryl um ihr �berleben k�mpft, beginnt auch Nithael an den himmlischen Wesen zu zweifeln. Denn nicht nur die Menschen, sondern auch die wei en Engel verlieren ihre Leben in diesem erbitternden Kampf. Nithael beschlie t sich mit Cheryl und anderen �berlebenden Engeln und Menschen zusammenzutun. Dabei entwickelt Cheryl merkw�rdige Gef�hle f�r Nithael. Einem Engel, der weder Gef�hle kennt, noch welche empfinden kann.
