This book begins with tracing the evolution of India's FDI policy from pre 1991 period to post LPG developments after the BOP crisis. In the study of Indian case, the book also highlights the problems and prospects of FDI in India along with the instrumental role played by FDI in economic development of India. It also explores the aspect of skewed investment patterns in FDI which is limited to certain specific sectors particularly real estate and service sector while ignoring others.
