About The Author

ALBERTO PRIETO ROZOS (1939) es Doctor en Ciencias, presidente de las cátedras Benito Juárez (México) y Manuel Galich (Guatemala) de la Universidad de La Habana, miembro de número de la Academia de la Historia de la República de Cuba y presidente del Tribunal Permanente Nacional de Ciencias Políticas. Ha brindado conferencias y cursos en países como Alemania, Nicaragua, México, Estados Unidos, Francia, Ecuador y Guatemala.
Por su excelente desempeño en la Educación Superior ha recibido las condecoraciones Por la Educación Cubana, Rafael María de Mendive y José Tey. El Consejo de Estado le ha otorgado las órdenes Frank País --por su ejemplar actividad docente-- y Carlos J. Finlay --máximo reconocimiento que se otorga en el campo de la Investigación Científica--. En Francia, recibió la medalla conmemorativa Aniversario de la Fundación de La Sorbona (París IV). En la Universidad de La Habana le fue otorgada la medalla 280 Aniversario de su fundación.
Es autor, entre otros muchos títulos, de Las civilizaciones precolombinas y sus conquistas, El Movimiento de Liberación Contemporáneo en América Latina, Centroamérica en Revolución. Ha publicado con la Editorial Ocean Sur los títulos: Las guerrillas contemporáneas en América Latina, Procesos revcolucionarios en América Latina y Visión íntegra de América (tres tomos).
