It has been a long time, you looked at the mirror and saw your reflection. Flashbacks to recall memories and memorable moments. Sitting in the balcony of your nursing home, plenty of time on your hands, seldom phone calls, no emails, weekly visits and thinking about the loved ones. Your favourite television shows no longer interest you, keep watching time, wanting to socialize and often ambulance sirens. It has been a while your bed is made up, newspapers are everywhere, the cat run away long ago, you want to scream, and your favorite banker no longer phones you. Your deepest desire to call back the youth, redo everything from scratch and meet new friends. Wondering where is that financial guy who used to keep you company on Saturday afternoon? Damn! You use mirrors to see your own reflection and to find out how others perceive you. So you know, which shirt to wear and, which tie to tie. If you are a female, which lipstick to wear and whether the color of your shoes matches the handbag. You spent so much time to attire and look good. Has it ever occurred to you seeing the reflection of your financial well-being? Throughout the book, I have talked about various aspects of investments, tax, Professional Corporations, and integration of corporation and personal financial planning. I kept the discussion summarized, so that the reader does not get bored and often used story mode to explain scenarios. Let's build a mirror together for our Financial Freedom.
When I was computerizing this book, I was living in the cold and did not have food for several weeks. I was determined that I have to finish this book, not for me, for those whom I love and care. I wanted to share my limited knowledge in a much summarized version about financial well-being. I kept the discussion as short as possible, so that the reader does not get bored and often used story mode to explain scenarios. I am always an entrepreneurial personnel and started my first business while I was in school in 2005. In year 2006, I decided to pursuit an Accounting designation, therefore, I took on continuing education. While I was pursuing my education and operating an apparel business, I also maintained a family. It was a bit tough choice for a 23 years old young man, however, I enjoyed it. Right before the recession in 2008, I received a call from a financial planning firm to join them as a Consultant. I was near finishing my Accounting Certification, therefore, I thought giving it a try. I successfully completed the Canadian Investment Funds Certification in 2008. However, I got cold feet from the recession, therefore, I continued with the apparel business. In 2010, I received another call form the same firm, this time, it was another office. The recession was over, I took on the Financial Planning career. In 2010, I completed my LLQP program and the Accounting Certification program. The very same year, I started pursuing a core Financial Planner program with the Chang School, Ryerson University for CFP. The core program was completed in 2014, thereafter, I wrote and successfully completed FPE1 diploma exam for the CFP certification. In 2014, I also wrote the Chief Compliance Officer Course (CCO) examination. I am in the process of completing my CFP and at same time preparing for CPA. In my Financial Planning career, at the very first year after completion of my training, I have received various recognitions in the region level, and in my second year, I was awarded for meeting my career goals at the national level within the company. I have worked with various corporations and professionals. My focus was integration of corporation and personal financial planning for the business owners and professionals like doctors, dentists, and accountants. I enjoyed meeting people and helping them at the best of my abilities. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed learning a great deal about people and their objectives towards financial well-being.
