Warum kommt es in der Bundesrepublik zu Schwierigkeiten für die Privatanleger bei der Gesamtkapitalstruktur? Welche der verschiedenen Anlageklassen sollte ein privater Anleger nutzen? Nachdem die Probleme bei der Gesamtkapitalstrukturierung aufgezeigt worden sind und die verschiedenen Assets, welche ein Privatanleger nutzen sollte, aufgeführt wurden, stellt der Autor Optimierungsmöglichkeiten der Gesamtkapitalstruktur vor. Die Frage nach den Optimierungsmöglichkeiten innerhalb des Finanzportfoliomanagement ist die dritte Forschungsfrage, die der Autor beantworten möchte. Aufgrund der aktuellem Niedrigzinspolitik, den Höchstständen an den Kapitalmärkten sowie boomenden Immobilienpreisen steigen die Anforderungen an die Privatanleger und Vermögensberatern bei der Gesamtkapitalstrukturierung. Ebenfalls belastet die Inflationsrate der vergangenen Jahre das nicht verzinste Kapital auf den Bankeinlagen. Die durchschnittliche Inflation in Deutschland lag im Jahr 2020 bei 0,5 Prozent, diese soll sich im Jahr 2021 sogar auf 1,2 Prozent erhöhen. Durch die Corona Krise ist es ebenfalls nicht unmöglich, eine sogenannte Hyperinflation auszulösen. Die Vergangenheit hat gezeigt, dass die Inflation in den meisten Fällen zwischen ein Prozent bis zwei Prozent, welches dem Ziel der Politiker in der Bundesrepublik entspricht, gelegen hat. Nicht nur die aktuelle Pandemie und geldpolitische Ausrichtung, sondern ebenfalls die in der Vergangenheit liegenden Finanzkrisen im Jahr 2008 (Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.) oder die DotCom- Blase Anfang der 2000er verunsichert Anleger bis heute verstärkt und hat ebenfalls das Vertrauen in die Kapitalmärkte und Banken sinken lassen.
