Ökonomie, Note: 1, Universität Wien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Vor dem Hintergrund einer zunehmend globalisierten Weltwirtschaft und den daraus abgeleiteten Flexibilitätsanforderungen stellt sich für die nationalen und in gewissem Ma e auch für die supranationalen Gesetzgeber die Frage, wie dieser Entwicklung zu begegnen ist. Eine mögliche Antwort darauf liefert das so genannte "Flexicurity"-Konzept, das vor allem in Skandinavien und den Niederlanden Anwendung findet. Dieser Ansatz zielt darauf ab, ein Gleichgewicht zwischen hoher Flexibilität am Arbeitsmarkt einerseits und ebenso hoher sozialer Absicherung andererseits herzustellen (vgl. Wilthagen/Tros 2004, 169; Leschke/Schmid/Griga 2006, 1). Die vorliegende Seminararbeit versucht in diesem Zusammenhang zu klären, ob eine solche Balance und damit ein Flexicurity-Ansatz bei der Betrachtung Deutschlands erkennbar ist und welches Element gegebenenfalls einer Stärkung bedarf. Dabei folgt nach einer formalen Definition des Begriffs "Flexicurity" sowie einem kurzen entwicklungsgeschichtlichen Überblick mit dem Schwerpunkt Bundesrepublik Deutschland eine gesonderte Analyse der verschiedenen Flexibilitäts- und Sicherheitsdimensionen.
