Im vorliegenden Buch "Flugsaurier in der Kreidezeit" werden aus der Zeit vor etwa 145 bis 65 Millionen Jahren nur zwei Gattungen im Gebiet von Deutschland erwähnt. Dagegen kennt man aus der vorhergehenden Jurazeit vor etwa 201 bis 145 Millionen Jahren ungefähr 25 Arten von Flugsauriern im selben Gebiet. Aus der Triaszeit vor etwa 251 bis 201 Millionen Jahren hat man bisher in Deutschland überhaupt noch keine aussagekräftigen Fossilien von Flugsauriern entdeckt. Weltweit existierten auch in der Kreidezeit viele Spezies von Flugsauriern. Gegen Ende der Kreidezeit vor etwa 65 Millionen Jahren sind die Flugsaurier ausgestorben. Die Texte aus dem vorliegenden 220-seitigen Buch "Flugsaurier in der Kreidezeit" stammen weitgehend aus dem 568 Seiten umfassenden Werk "Flugsaurier in Deutschland" (2023) des Wissenschaftsautors Ernst Probst. Letztere Publikation beschreibt auch zahlreiche andere Flugsaurier aus allen Erdteilen in Wort und teilweise mit Bild.
