He is also the Director of theCenter for Gas Turbines and Power. Dr. Lakshminarayana has morethan thirty years of teaching, research, and consulting experiencein turbomachinery aerodynamics, acoustics, and heat transfer;analytical, computational, and experimental fluid dynamics;aerospace propulsion; gas turbines; and turbulence modeling. He wasinstrumental in developing the Computational Fluid Dynamics Programat Penn State and directed this program from 1981 to 1987.
