In a militaristic, socialist society, based on the earning of honor and prestige, two brothers are born without history and believed to be children of Silent Knights, the last criminal organization of the Packs of War's civilization. AI machines known as Circuits monitor the needs and requirements of people, bringing balance to Society. Cyborgs, human-machine interfaces provide policing and safety responses. Androids, circuit-human interfaces provide a different connection between the two worlds, and often work in administrative duties. And the Packs, mostly made up of human warriors, fight the Desitians for control of the twin Star Systems of Venginus and Sasaria to ensure peace for those of the inner systems. The boys are placed in the unique Forward Schools of The Wolf Pack, which is building a new culture of warriors. Why the children of these schools are being raised differently and what the true purposes of the schools, and even the existence of the schools are unknown to most of society. And the children within the walls are isolated even more than the regular students within their society, training to operating the most elite fighting machines of the Pack; the Abas. Abas are oversized, often human shaped war machines piloted from the inside. Like in the Pack's normal society, all basic needs of the children are met, but if they want more, they have to earn it through performance and perseverance, gaining honors, which would seem strange to the rest of society. Some by genetics and some by talent are chosen to be

either the best or the lowest to begin, but all are award the right to become more. These brothers, unlike the other students, are not allowed to advance unless they prove themselves ten times better. Will they, or will they be rejected, in which rejection means death?
