Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Note: 1,7, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (FB 02), Veranstaltung: Lebensstil Forschung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der folgenden Arbeit soll anhand von Erkenntnissen der Lebensstilforschung die Frage beantwortet werden, welche förderlichen und hinderlichen Faktoren zur konkreten Umsetzung eines nachhaltigen Lebensstils vermutet werden können. Nach einer kurzen Einführung der beiden Begriffen Nachhaltigkeit und Lebensstil werden handlungstheoretische Erklärungsmodell zur Differenz von Einstellung und Verhalten dargestellt werden und drei verschiedene Auseinandersetzungen der Lebensstilforschung mit dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit. Darauf folgt eine kritische Diskussion der Ergebnisse der vorgestellten Modelle und Typologien, wobei schlie lich auch die Frage beantwortet werden soll, welche förderlichen und hinderlichen Faktoren für einen nachhaltigen Lebensstil ausfindig gemacht werden konnten. Am Ende findet sich das Fazit und ein kurzer Ausblick. Der Begriff der Nachhaltigkeit oder auch der nachhaltigen Entwicklung wird zumeist aufgrund seines diffusen Charakters in einem transdisziplinären Kontext verwendet. Eine einheitliche Definition zwischen den verschiedenen Akteursgruppen (Umweltverbände, Regierungsparteien, Umweltbundesamt etc.) existiert dabei nicht, da das eigene Verständnis in den meisten Fällen jeweils vom eigenen funktionalen System geprägt ist (vgl. Otto 2007, S. 28). So hängt die Definition meist von den jeweiligen Zielen der Akteure ab und spiegeln normative Gedanken bezüglich des Umweltschutzes und der sozialen Gerechtigkeit wider (vgl. ebd., S.31). Was festgehalten werden kann ist, dass nachhaltige Entwicklung immer einen "prozeduralen Charakter" hat und somit auch immer wieder an sich verändernde Bedingungen angepasst werden muss
