Fragments is thus a poetic, a philosophical collection. Written in the classical style where sonnets and spenserian stanzas, and other pre-conceived forms and fashions, are united with the underlying thought from which the magical words proceed. It reflects at length on the human condition from the perspective of both participant and silent observer with the greater emphasis on the latter. So shall a line hold a mirror, as it were, up to Nature though its glass may be scattered and broken - be it fractured in Fragments!

Receiving his formal education 'Down Under' John Mullin has spent his adult life in America while calling, for a significant period of time, Las Vegas home. But it is in Ireland where the creatives juices respond best to that uniquely poetic air, blown by the breezes no doubt, and where many of his creations have first come into existence.
