Franchising in Zambia 2014: Legal and Business Considerations contains excerpts from the larger work, Franchising in Africa 2014: Legal and Business Considerations. Both books serve as practical, succinct, easy-to-use reference tools for lawyers, business people and academics to use in navigating the myriad laws and business issues impacting franchise arrangements on the African continent. This book provides an overview of the franchise industry in Zambia and addresses the typical legal issues confronted when expanding a franchise system in Zambia. The larger work, Franchising in Africa 2014: Legal and Business Considerations, covers those laws governing franchising in fifteen other African countries - Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tunisia and Zimbabwe.

The executive editor Kendal H. Tyre, Jr. is a partner the Washington, D.C. office of Nixon Peabody LLP. He handles domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, licensing, and franchise matters. Contributing author include Mabvuto Sakala a lecturer of law at the University of Zambia and also a private legal practitioner and partner at Corpus Legal Practitioners in Lusaka, Zambia.
