Wissenschaftlicher Aufsatz aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Veranstaltung: Deutsch Leistungskurs (gymnasiale Oberstufe), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die beiden Prosaskizzen "Der Fahrgast" und "Kleider" entstammen dem Band "Betrachtung", der ersten Buchveröffentlichung Kafkas. Der Begriff 'Betrachtung' meint sowohl die optische Wahrnehmung von Au enwelt als auch Reflexion und kontemplative Verinnerlichung des Betrachteten. Beide Texte sind keine Erzählungen, sondern monologische Gedankenreden. Das betrachtende Subjekt in beiden Texten ist ein einsames, verunsichertes, männliches Ich, das von einer exzentrischen Position aus seinen Blick auf die Welt richtet. Beide sich von der äu eren Wirklichkeit distanzierende Ichs verfügen über einen besonderen Blick, der das/ die angeschaute[n] Mädchen "atomisiert, indem er den Eindruck eines ganzen Menschen in Bruchstücke zerlegt" (P.-A. Alt). Im "Fahrgast"-Text greift ein zugleich erzähltes und erzählendes Ich ein junges Mädchen vor dem Aussteigen aus der Stra enbahn derart mit Blicken ab, nach Alt "mit sezierender Genauigkeit", dass der Ich-Sprecher sagen kann: "Sie erscheint mir so deutlich, als ob ich sie betastet hätte." Den Prosatext "Kleider" hat Kafka der "Beschreibung eines Kampfes" entnommen. Hier will der mit seinem Bekannten auf dem Laurenziberg spazierengehende Ich-Erzähler seinem Begleiter die unter der Oberfläche jugendlicher Schönheit lauernde zukünftige Hinfälligkeit einer alternden Frau verdeutlichen. In unserem, nur drei Sätze umfassenden "Kleider"-Text betrachtet ein namenloses Ich schöne Kleider und denkt über deren Alterung nach. Durch eine Verlagerung des Betrachtersubjekts in die Träger der schönen Kleider, die nur durch deren Schönheit schön gewordenen Mädchen, gelingt es dem auch hier das barocke Vanitas-Motiv thematisierenden Ich, dass den am Abend sich im Spiegel betrachtenden Mädchen mitunter auch ihr Gesicht als nicht mehr tragbar erscheint, weil es, wie
