Friars and Filipinos is an abridged translation of Dr. Jose Rizal's Tagalog novel, Noli Me Tangere, originally published in 1900. The novel is a scathing critique of the Spanish colonial regime in the Philippines and the abuses committed by the Catholic friars who held significant power and influence over the Filipino people.
