Gupta, Umesh: - Dr. Umesh Gupta, currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmacy, Central University of Rajasthan, India, did his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. H. S. Gour University, India under the mentorship of Prof. NK Jain. He has recently been awarded for "DAAD Research Stays for Academics and Scientists" at Leibniz-institut fur Polymerforschung Dresden, Germany. He has the past experience of Research Scientist at Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, India and Post-Doctoral Research Associate at South Dakota State University, USA. HE is also recipient of Young Scientist Award by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India as well as Ranbaxy Science Scholar Award 2008 by Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, India. He has been awarded more than 3-4 times the overseas travel award by different funding agencies of Indian government to share and present his research at international platform in countries like Germany, USA and Singapore etc. He has more than ten years of research and academic experience. The area of research is mainly focused on dendrimer mediated drug delivery, solubilization and targeting. His laboratory equally focuses on effective brain delivery through nanotechnological carriers such as polymeric micelles, nanoparticles and dendrimers. He has more than 48 publications and seven book chapters to his credit with total citations of more than 2300 (h index of 23 as per Google Scholar).
Jain, Nk: - NK Jain is an internationally renowned academician and researcher who recently retired from Dr Hari Singh Gour University, India after more than 40 years as a lecturer and 25 years as a full professor. Professor Jain is the author of 17 books and over 470 international publications and has supervised 55 PhD and 125 M Pharm candidates. He is known globally for his research in the field of dendrimer drug delivery. Currently, he is exploring the pharmaceutical potential of carbon nanotubes and quantum dots. Since his retirement, Professor Jain has been a Director of the ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga, India.
