About The Author

With a Ph.D. in Business Management, an MBA in Finance, and a BBA in Accounting with emphasis on Mathematics, Dr. F. Alexander Goleh has taught at UCLA and in various other schools and universities for over twenty years. He has held high-level financial executive positions in major USA and International banks and companies. Dr. Goleh has always believed that a hands-on experience in any field is the best way to learn and is more beneficial than the uniform and dry classroom drills. During his own classroom participations as a student, Dr. Goleh thought that he would have had an easier time at the beginning if the subjects that were discussed were presented, or the materials assigned for reading, were written in an easier way. He always restated the matters of discussion in his own way in a simpler manner, for further review and reference, avoiding the assigned textbooks as much as possible. He imagined that if every student had done the same and that their writings had collectively contributed to the preparation of a study/reference guide that reflected the way each one of them saw the intended issues, there would have been the world's second-best learning tool. On this basis, when he started to teach, he put all his efforts behind making sure his imagination took the form of reality.
