About the Author
Dr. Annu Kaushik, PhD (Nursing), has 27 years of rich experience in nursing training, education, strategic planning, and team management. She started her career as a bedside nurse in Holy Family Hospital and then moved to Public Health Nurse Role in Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Subsequently, she joined the corporate groups like Max and Fortis. She has been an outstanding academician with distinction during her postgraduation from Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, New Delhi. Dr. Kaushik has a passion for training and quality. She is a national NQAS External Assessor and possesses a Nursing Excellence Certificate. She is a BOS member for Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Uttar Pradesh and a part of the board for Nursing Research at JJT University, Rajasthan. She has many national and international publications to her credit. She is the editor of Infusion Nursing Journal of India. Dr. Kaushik has co-authored the Standards of Nursing Practice, and is the editor of books of international repute. She has been a guest speaker at various national and international forums on advance nursing topics in nursing education and practice.
Dr. Jyoti Sarin, PhD (Nursing), is the Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Director-Principal of MM College of Nursing, M.M. University, Mullana (Ambala), India. She did her postgraduation in Pediatric Nursing and PhD in Nursing from RAK College of Nursing, University of Delhi. She was awarded President of India Silver Medal for academic excellence in BSc (Hons) Nursing, and President of India Gold Medal for academic excellence in Master of Nursing Program. She was also awarded T.K. Adrenwala prize for the best work done in research in Master's in Nursing Dissertation. During her 35 years of teaching experience, she has been associated with baccalaureate, postgraduate, and PhD Nursing programs. Dr. Sarin has significant published works to her credit. She has participated and presented papers in various workshops at state, national, and international levels. She was a member of the core group for development of Standards for Nursing Practice “WHO IND HRD” 031 project and for development of Quality Assurance Model WHO project undertaken by the Indian Nursing Council. She is a guide for PhD consortium of the Indian Nursing Council.
