In a dystopian future not far from our own time, Edward, a young engineer moves to the city after his mother's death at the advice of his father. The city is crippled under the weight of the big conglomerate, "Eminence", producer of robotics, who seems to have taken all production from the city and left it in ruins. Edward moves to the city with nothing but his beefed up ZVW 70 motorcycle and his brilliance, but soon finds love in a girl named Layla, who is also a victim of the city, As Edward struggles to find himself, he is soon caught in a whirlwind of mutants called metahumans, beings from the future, who are related to Eminence and have special abilities, some of whom claim he is the key to the future. He must now fight along side them to enact a paradox, less a future timeline of death and destruction be carried out again. Armed with only his intellect, and the powers of the rebel metahumans, he must take down the evil conglomerate or the earth will be destroyed like it was in a different timeline. And what's this? Is the Earth alive, fighting along side him in a battle between technology and nature?

C. A. Weiss is a fledgling novelist in the YA sci-fi and adult horror genres, as well an astute poet. He is a devout follower of the "big three" of science fiction, Heinlein, Asimov, and Clarke, and has many of their works read or in the process of reading. He has learned from these masters of storytelling and science fiction, but can mostly be compared to the works of Arthur C. Clarke. With a background in pre medicine and science, his science fiction is showcased in a way that is both accurate and mind bending, for the young reader. His first novel, FUTURE ESCAPE does so in this manner. C.A. Weiss likes to ascribe his writings to a sort of "gonzo fiction", where science fiction, could become science fact, always leaving the reader with a plausible future or alternate timeline. In his novel FUTURE ESCAPE, he establishes a message of dis-establishmentarianism as well as complete mechanical automation, which is something that scientists and engineers talk about in today's burgeoning futuristic world. He outlays this with action packed battle scenes, and lovable characters that today's youth may find solace in, while rousing the reader to a whole new world of science fiction.
