Gellan always knew he was a bit odd. He just didn't realize how different he really was . . . until he set off two disastrous events down by the cliffs. The first time wasn't his fault. The second time was entirely his doing.

With no other option, he ends up in Cremstoll at a school called Gilsthorne. Only most kids in this school are like him and he finds he just might fit in for the first time.

Until he realizes he can't quite do everything everyone else can. And maybe that's a good thing.

Wicks, A. L.: - A. L. Wicks is an artist, author, wife, and mother. She writes fantasy and real-to-life stories for middle-grade to young adult readers. She has been writing stories since just before she turned five years old. By the time she was six, she was asking her teachers to help her laminate hand-drawn covers which she bound to the pages by herself with staples or ties or other methods. Favorite early titles are "Honeysticks" and "A Bad Day at the Wrong Time." In seventh grade, she wrote her first full-length book (which no one else will ever see!). The Gellan Parker series was begun many years later, in 2013. When she's not writing or "mom-ing," she enjoys sketching and painting, gardening, traveling, and reading.
