Dans un contexte �conomico-strat�gique marqu� par la rar�faction des �nergies fossiles, qui repr�sentent 83.1% du mix �nerg�tique mondial en 2021, des transnationales du secteur acc�l�rent et �tendent la g�ographie de leurs d�veloppements p�troliers, en l'occurrence, vers ladite aire maritime disput�e. Entre 2015 et 2022, plus de
11 milliards de barils d'�quivalent p�trole y ont �t� d�couverts en m�me temps qu'un rapport de forces s'est exprim�, sur le terrain, par des manoeuvres d'interdiction de zone, par l'arraisonnement de navires, par des exercices militaires, etc., entra�nant une territorialisation conflictuelle qui attise le risque g�opolitique.
A partir du cas de la Guyane Essequibo et de la dispute de souverainet� qui y persiste, ce travail interroge la notion de territoire-ressource � plusieurs �chelles et � l'aune des repr�sentations concurrentes des acteurs en lice, par l'�tude de leurs strat�gies de contr�le territorial briguant l'acc�s � des ressources strat�giques et � la  ma�trise perp�tuelle du territoire .
