Gleichstellungspolitik ist in den letzten Jahren zu einem zentralen Diskussi- onsgegenstand der Frauenbewegung und -forschung geworden. An diese Debatte kniipft die Arbeit 'Geschlecht und Mikropolitik' an. 1m Zentrum steht die Erkenntnis, daB der Erfolg bzw. Millerfolg von Gleichstellungs- maBnahmen in Untemehmen (und anderen Organisationen) nicht nur Folge okonomischer Sachzwange und Logiken (wie beispielsweise veranderter Wettbewerbsbedingungen) oder intelligenter bzw. weniger adaquater, d. h. 'richtiger'oder 'falscher' Forderinstrumente ist. Eine zentrale These der Untersuchung ist demgegeniiber, daB die Ent- wicklung, die Ausgestaltung und die Einfuhrung von GleichstellungsmaB- nahmen wesentlich von komplexen organisationsspezifischen und -typi- schen Aushandlungs-, Kompromifibildungs- und Entscheidungsprozessen beeinflufit sind: Die Reichweite, die Wirksamkeit, aber auch die Grenzen von Frauenforderprogrammen sind demnach auch vor dem Hintergrund des politischen und sozialen Spannungsfeldes in Organisationen zu bestimmen. Die vorliegende Analyse ist die iiberarbeitete Fassung meiner Dissertation, die 1995 an der Freien Universitat Berlin angenommen wurde. An der Ent- stehung und Durchfuhrung der Untersuchung waren in verschiedenen Pha- sen und in unterschiedlicher Weise eine Reihe von Institutionen und Perso- nen beteiligt, denen ich an dieser Stelle herzlich danken mochte: Mein Dank gilt der Berlin-Forschung der Freien Universitat Berlin, dem Forderprogramm 'Frauenforschung' der Senatsverwaltung fur 'Arbeit und Frauen' /Berlin, der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung und dem von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft finanzierten Graduiertenkolleg 'Geschlechter- verhaltnis und sozialer Wandel - Handlungsspielraume und Definitions- macht von Frauen' (Universitatsverbund: Bielefeld, Bochum, Dortmund, Essen).
