Daher wird das Erscheinen eines Handbuches, das die gesamten Erfahrungen in den vergangenen 35 Jahren auswertet, uns besonders willkommen sein. Sein Ziel war es, die Vielzahl neuer Erkenntnisse auf dem Gebiete der nichtluischen Geschlechtskrankheiten hinsichtlich ihrer Immunitat, Serologie, allgemeinen Diagnostik, Chemotherapie und antibiotischen Behandlungsweise, ihrer Klinik sowie Prophylaxe, Morbiditat und der sie betreffenden gesetzlichen Bestim- mungen von berufenen Sachkennern darstellen zu lassen. Entsprechend ihrer Verbreitung nimmt die Schilderung der Gonorrhoe den weitesten Raum ein. Ihr schlieBt sich an die Abhandlung iiber das Lympho- granuloma inguinale sowie das Granuloma venereum. Die weiterenBeitrage haben nichtvenerische Erkrankungen des Genitales wie die Induratio penis plastica, das Ulcus vulvae acutum, die verschiedenen Balanitiden und die nichtgonorrhoischen Urethritiden zum Gegenstand, deren Therapie wesentliche Fortschritte aufzu- weisen hat, schlieBlich den Morbus Reiter.
