Erziehung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mittels geeigneter Literatur sollen zu Beginn die elementaren Termini ausdefiniert werden. Dabei ist eine Abgrenzung des biologischen Geschlechts "sex" vom sozialen Geschlecht "gender" nötig, die einen ersten Eindruck über den Einfluss genetischer sowie sozialer Komponenten verschaffen soll. Darüber hinaus soll sich der Leser im weiteren Verlauf dieser Arbeit das Wissen über die Geschlechtsidentität aneignen, welche als Grundlage geschlechtstypischer Verhaltensweisen gilt. Nur mit der Kenntnis über die eigene Geschlechtszugehörigkeit kann sich ein Kind dem einen oder anderen Geschlecht zuordnen und entwickelt infolgedessen meist ein entsprechend typisches Verhalten. Doch wie äu ern sich die Unterschiede zwischen Mädchen und Jungen? Um diese Frage zu beantworten werden zunächst die theoretischen Aspekte der Geschlechterstereotypen / -rollen beschrieben. Nachdem sich der Leser mit der Theorie auseinandergesetzt hat, soll auf die typischen Klischees von Mädchen und Jungen eingegangen werden, und inwiefern sie sich voneinander unterscheiden. Kinder zeigen aber nicht nur ausschlie lich weibliches, beziehungsweise männliches Verhalten. Jedes Individuum trägt eine Kombination aus beiden geschlechtstypischer Verhaltensweisen in sich, weshalb auch das Konzept der Androgynie einen Abschnitt dieser Abschlussarbeit einnimmt. Daraufhin werden die verschiedenen Erklärungsansätze für geschlechtstypische Verhaltensweisen aufgeführt. Die Literaturrecherche ergibt, dass sich Kinder ein solches Verhalten unter anderem basierend auf der Lerntheorie selbstständig erarbeiten. Mittels Nachahmung und Lernen am Modell eignen sie sich die typischen Geschlechterstereotypen an und handeln dementsprechend. Eine weitere Alternative die geschlechtstypische Verhaltensweisen von Kindern erklären würde, wird durch Kohlbergs Theorie zur Geschlechterrollenübernahme
