Schulpolitik, Note: 1, Freie Universität Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Problem der bildungsrelevanten gesellschaftlichen Differenzierung und der Bildungsbeteiligung von Kindern unterschiedlicher gesellschaftlicher Schichtzugehörigkeit unter den jeweils gegebenen gesellschaftspolitischen Verhältnissen. Dass Gesellschaften sich innerlich differenzieren und sich bestimmte Gesellschaftsgruppen durch soziale Merkmale voneinander abgrenzen, ist keine neue Begebenheit. In der Regel sind sozioökonomische Faktoren ma gebend für die Lebensführung eines Menschen. Historisch betrachtet hat der Einzelne heute in unserer modernen Schichtgesellschaft mehr Einfluss denn je auf seine individuelle Lebensgestaltung. Als Schicht wird dabei eine berufsnahe Gruppierung von Menschen verstanden, die ähnlich gleich bewertet und entlohnt wird. Anhand dieser Systematik bilden sich mehrere - graduell und hierarchisch unterscheidbare - soziale Gruppen heraus, die sich in ökonomischer Hinsicht voneinander trennen lassen. Die interne soziale Mobilität in der Schichtgesellschaft ist höher als in der Stände- oder Klassengesellschaft. Im feudalen Ständesystem etwa war die familiäre Herkunft absolut entscheidend, sozialer Aufstieg nur durch Geburt möglich und soziale Mobilität kaum gegeben. Ebenso undurchlässig und dualistisch geprägt war die frühindustrielle Klassengesellschaft, in welcher zwar nicht mehr die Geburt über die Verwirklichungschancen eines Menschen entschied, sondern vielmehr der Besitz von Kapital. Heute sind vor allem die Bildung und die berufliche Qualifikation entscheidend für die soziale Stellung eines Menschen. Damit kommt der Bildung eine zentrale Rolle zu, denn sie erhält gesellschaftlich Schlüsselfunktion.
