Prof. Dr. Oliver Schöffski, Jahrgang 1961, ist Ordinarius für Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, wo er den Lehrstuhl für Gesundheitsmanagement leitet. Vor Oktober 2000 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Versicherungsbetriebslehre und Managing Director der Forschungsstelle für Gesundheitsökonomie und Gesundheitssystemforschung der Universität Hannover. Er hat sich in Forschung und Lehre insbesondere auf ökonomische Fragen des Gesundheitswesens spezialisiert. Ein Arbeitsschwerpunkt liegt im Bereich der gesundheits- bzw. pharmakoökonomischen Studien. Neben der praktischen Durchführung entsprechender Studien hat er eine Reihe von Aufsätzen und Monographien zur Methodik verfasst. Zum Thema "Sozialversicherung" hat er 1993 für ein Semester an der Princeton University gelehrt. Sein Diplom im Fachbereich Wirtschaftswissenschaften erhielt er 1990, 1991 erwarb Dr. Schöffski den Titel "Master of Public Health" an der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover. 1994 promovierte er in Hannover zum Thema "Regulierung des deutschen Apothekenwesens". 1999 erwarb er mit einer Schrift zum Thema "Ökonomische Aspekte der Gendiagnostik" seine Habilitation. Er ist Herausgeber der Lehrbücher "Pharmabetriebslehre" (2. Auflage 2008) und "Gesundheitsökonomische Evaluationen" (4. Auflage 2011). Seine Publikationsliste umfasst eine Vielzahl von Monographien und Lehrbücher, Aufsätze in referierten und nicht referierten Fachzeitschriften sowie Aufsätze in Sammelbänden. Er ist Leiter und Initiator des berufsbegleitenden Fernstudiengangs "Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA)".

Prof. Dr. J.-Matthias Graf von der Schulenburg, Jahrgang 1950, ist Ordinarius für Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Leibniz Universität Hannover, Direktor des Instituts für Versicherungsbetriebslehre und Sprecher der Forschungsstelle fürGesundheitsökonomie. Es ist der erste Vorstandsvorsitzende der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Gesundheitsökonomie und Hauptschriftleiter der Zeitschrift für die gesamte Versicherungswissenschaft und des European Journal of Health Economics. Die Akademie der Wissenschaften und Literatur, Mainz, und die Europäische Akademie der Wissenschaften und Kunst haben ihn als ordentliches Mitglied auf Lebenszeit berufen.
