Port R. Martin, EdD, has had a long interest in medical subjects and physical fitness, starting when he began reading medically related books at age 10. After a number of careers in government and private sector organizations, he began researching bio-identical hormones as a possible solution to his growing fatigue and recurring encounters with cold viruses and pneumonia. The positive results he achieved in verifying his research led to this book along with one for men. Arcadia L. Cruz, DBA, had almost completed her medical doctor studies in Honduras when she immigrated to the United States. Upon arrival she became intimately involved in medical research at Baylor University and later participated in numerous clinical trials in both technical and leadership roles. She is currently working at the Moores Cancer Center at the University of California San Diego.
