Dan Birchfield is currently the pastor of East Bristol Baptist Church where he has served since 1996. Before that he served congregations in Ohio and Kentucky. Pastor Birchfield received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati and his Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been published by "Homelife Magazine" a publication of Lifeway Christian Resources. He is also a guest columnist for the Religion Section of the "Bristol Herald Courier." He and his wife, Andrea, have been married for 27 years and have three sons and one dog, Ada, a Golden Retriever / Lab mix. He enjoys reading, writing, walking the dog, and spending time with family. "Get up and Grow" is Dan's second book.
