Die deutsche Gesellschaft fUr Informatik (GO, die Osterreichische Computer Gesellschaft (OCG) und die Osterreichische Gesellschaft fUr Informatik (OG!) veranstalten gemeinsam ihre Jahrestagung 1985 an der Wirtschaftsuniversitat Wien. Themenschwerpunkte sind Softwaretechnologie I Standardsoftware I Buroautomation I Bildschirmtext, wobei Anwendungsfragen, insbesondere auch 1: ikonomische Aspekte, im Vordergrund stehen. Das Programm der Tagung besteht aus eingeladenen Ubersichtsbeitragen (16. September 1985) und neun eintagigen Fachgesprachen (17. bis 19. September 1985), von denen jeweils drei parallel abgehalten werden. An jedem dieser drei Tage wird ferner ein Fortbildungsseminar (Tutorium) durchgefUhrt. Zwei 1: iffentliche Gastvortrage behandeln Zukunftsaspekte der Infor- matik im BUro und in der Gesellschaft. 1m Rahmen eines Industrieprogramms stellen 1: isterreichische Computerhersteller neue Produkte und Verfahren auf dem Gebiet der Infor- matik vor (Ausstellung und Herstellervortrage). Der vorliegende Tagungsband enthalt die Ubersichts- und Gastvortrage sowie die ausgewahlten Beitrage zu den Fachgesprachen. Die Auswahl der Fachbeitrage erfolgte durch spezielle Programmkomitees, deren Mitglieder jeweils bei der EinfUhrung in die Thematik der einzelnen Fachgesprache genannt sind. Die EinfUhrungen wurden von den Vorsitzenden der spezielJen Programmkomitees geschrieben. Ihnen und den Mitgliedern des allgemeinen Programmkomitees sei fUr die gute und hilfreiche Zusammenarbeit an dieser Stelle vielmals gedankt. Weil die Informatik-Jahrestagung 1985 erstmals an einer "Anwendungshochschule" stattfindet, die Uber keine eigene Informatik-Fakultat verfUgt, muBte ein groBer Teil der wissenschaftlichen Vorbereitungsarbeit von den genannten Kolleginnen und Kollegen getragen werden. DaB dies ehrenamtlich geschah, d.h. daB so gar die Reisespesen zu den Programmkomiteesitzungen, zur Jahrestagung und die TagungsgebUhren selbst von den Programmkomiteemitgliedern zu finanzieren waren, soli hier nicht unerwahnt bleiben.
