Dieses Buch entstand aus Arbeiten der Verfasser im Elektromotoren- werk Bad Neustadt/Saale der SSW, in den AEG-Fabriken Brunnen- stra e Berlin und im Institut f�r elektrische Maschinen der Techni- schen Hochschule Hannover. Die Antriebstechnik kennt als st�ndig wiederkehrende Aufgabe den Gleichlauf mehrerer Maschinengruppen. Eine technisch besonders interessante L�sung gelingt durch Zusammenschalten von Drehstrom- asynchronmotoren mit Schleifringl�ufern. Sie ist unter dem Namen "elektrische Welle" bekannt. Obwohl man diese Schaltungen seit Jahr- zehnten mit gutem Erfolg auf den verschiedensten Gebieten der Technik verwendet, erfordert ihre Projektierung ein ungew�hnlich hohes Ma an Kenntnissen der physikalischen Zusammenh�nge. Daraus mag sich die gelegentlich zu beobachtende Unsicherheit oder Scheu gegen- �ber der Verwendung elektrischer Wellen erkl�ren. F�r den Ingenieur, der nur gelegentlich mit solchen Gleichlaufschaltungen zu tun hat, ist es schwierig, aus der gro en Zahl der einschl�gigen Ver�ffentli- chungen die gesuchte Auskunft zu finden. Das vorliegende Buch soll diese L�cke schlie en. Der erste Teil gibt einen �berblick �ber die Arbeitsweise und die Anwendung der elektri- schen Welle. Die Abschnitte �ber die Berechnung und Projektierung erkl�ren das station�re und dynamische Verhalten der einzelnen Schal- tungen anhand einer einheitlichen Theorie. Die sich daraus ergebenden Schlu folgerungen erlauben es dann jeweils rasch, die technisch richtigen Ma nahmen zu treffen. Das Buch soll dem Praktiker als Nachschlagewerk dienen und dem theoretisch interessierten Ingenieur ein Ausgangspunkt f�r seine Berech- nungen sein.
