John Law (1854–1923), an English radical journalist and writer, came from a family associated with the Anglican clergy. Their debut novel, titled "A City Girl," marked the beginning of their literary journey. In 1883, they published "Assyrian Life and History," a work exploring the subject, followed by "Egyptian Life and History according to the Monuments" the following year.
