Ist Glück eigentlich messbar? Macht mehr Einkommen wirklich glücklicher? Diese Arbeit soll Antworten auf obige und weitere Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Glücksforschung geben und einige empirische Ergebnisse zusammenfassen. Zu Beginn wollen wir uns erst einmal mit dem Glücksbegriff an sich auseinandersetzen und verschiedene Korrelationen mit Glück ansprechen. Anschlie end wird erklärt, mit was sich die Glücksforschung beschäftigt und welche Verfahren in der Praxis angewendet werden. Dabei soll auch auf Indikatoren wie Net Affect oder U-Index eingegangen werden. Mit ihnen können zeitliche und örtliche Schranken überwunden werden und die Zufriedenheit von Personen unter verschiedenen Gegebenheiten verglichen werden. In einem weiteren Teil untersuchen wir das Glücksempfinden der Menschen im Bezug auf ökonomische Aspekte. Dabei betrachten wir Abhängigkeiten des empfundenen Glücks von Einkommen, Arbeitslosigkeit und Inflation und vergleichen auch Messungen aus unterschiedlichen Ländern. Abschlie end fassen wir unsere gewonnen Ergebnisse zusammen und erläutern, inwiefern hilfreiche Erkenntnisse aus der Glücksforschung Empfehlungen für die Wirtschaftspolitik oder das Handeln von Unternehmen und einzelnen Individuen geben können.
