Fratianne, Richard B.: - DR. FRATIANNE is a Professor Emeritus of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University and has served on its faculty since he received his medical degree from CWRU in 1958. He founded the Burn Center at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio in 1968, and served as its director for 34 years. During that time, Dr. Fratianne, or "Dr. Frat" as he prefers, developed the T. E. A. M. (Together Each Accomplishes More) approach to patient care. Dr. Frat teaches his medical staff, resident doctors, and medical students the difference between curing an illness and healing a person in the hope that patients will go from being victims to becoming survivors.
