What started out as a quick thought to share with others on Facebook has turned into a published devotional to help others understand how we can get through difficult times in life is with the love and assurance of God. In her new devotional, God's Bits and Pieces, author Stephanie Padgett Widener brings together several messages she wrote on Facebook titled "Just a quick though for the day" that were to inspire and encourage those reading. When it became clear to Stephanie how impactful these messages were to those reading, she realized more that the thoughts God was given her each day to post needed to be in a book. As readers will see, the devotional messages are to uplift and inspire people in these challenging times to remain hopeful and helpful to others. The messages are to remind us that we are God's children and when we fall on hard times, He is there to guide us through them. Several topics are discussed in the devotional messages, from the importance of prayer to praising God in the trials to realizing who we are in Christ. As Stephanie saw firsthand through her Facebook posts, people need to be reminded daily that the trials of life don't compare to the glories and provisions of God. Stephanie's hope is that God will receive all the glory for those whose lives are truly changed for the better from this devotional and that all come to know God in a personal way. What were just daily thoughts God had placed in Stephanie's mind to post online has become a published devotional to affect the lives and faiths of many around the world. My name is Stephanie Padgett Widener and I was born and raised in Graniteville SC. I enjoy writing devotions and singing. I started posting a "Just a quick thought for the day on Facebook to help encourage others. People enjoyed them so much and said they would enjoy having them in a book and I felt that it was something the Lord had impressed on me to have them published.
