Ego is left at the door when Mary describes unashamedly her reactions and responses to the good and bad that comes her way. One might call this book a slice of life perhaps, for indeed it is not a full blown autobiography; yet indeed the peeks and valleys are both touched throughout it, and one comes away thinking there is a plan to it all. It is not a difficult plan to perceive, it just requires "faith" to unroll the plan each day as it comes about.

This book can open simple doors for the reader if you let it. It can touch the heart of the matter, this life and how we live it. It is not about a God out there, but a God down here mixing with us and living with us. It reveals a consciousness of faith, an attitude about beginnings and endings, and a forever looking forward with eyes of faith. Somehow reading this book can help one to believe that there are no ending, only new beginnings. It has a true faith and a good love. It helps one walk forward without fear. This book of faith helps one not walking quietly into the night, but rather to walk quietly into the light.
