This book is a sequel to one that was published by PublishAmerica. In book number one, John Tucker treks west to the mountains where he finds his uncle and makes many friends. His first friend is a dog he met on his westward trek. He marries a Blackfoot girl and his family begins. This is a continuation of his life. The many hardships while trying to eke out a life in the Rocky Mountains is commonplace. Follow John as he takes on Grizzly Bears, Cougars, Bandits, and anything else that could snuff out his young life.

Gilbert Samuel Schriber (Sam, as most know him) is a seventy one year old man who has been married to his wife, Kathy for fifty years. They have two grown children and many grandchildren, plus great-grandchildren.They live in the country just southwest of Lincoln, Illinois. This is his fourth book. the first two were published by PublishAmerica. The next two are published by Amazon Create Space. Gil has been an artist most of his life. He believes that any talent that he has for writing came from whatever artistic abilities he has. His prose is that of a story teller and he says that his grammar may have slipped through the cracks, so to speak. He likes to write stories that make you get into the story itself, not how it was written. His hope is that this type of prose will work for the kind of stories he tells
